Synopsis: Several actors are rehearsing a play when they find a script on the stage that isn't a script of the play but of their lives. It turns out that the script reveals exactly what they are doing at that exact moment and the actors find themselves questioning fate, the director and other truisms.
How "The Script" was born: We were rehearsing the play "EXIT," which has now become one of Brooklyn Publisher's most popular one-acts, for its premeire performance and we were looking for a script and the actor playing Ollie, Ammon Stevenson, said, "What if we found a script and it was exactly what we're doing right now?" I said, "Ammon, that's a great idea - but that's a whole different story. A couple weeks later I wrote "The Script." Kudos to Ammon for his great idea!
